Client/Server ApplicationsThe SocketWrench Standard Edition provides both client and server capability. Virtually any type of application which needs to communicate with another, either on a local network or over the Internet, can be written using SocketWrench. Unlike other packages which provide client-only services, or require you to learn how to use two (or more) controls, you can build virtually any type of application with SocketWrench using either the TCP or UDP protocols.Dial-Up NetworkingIncluded with the SocketWrench Standard Edition package is a Remote Access Services (RAS) dialer control. This component allows you to create, modify and establish dial-up networking connections to Internet service providers and corporate WANs using the SLIP and PPP protocols.SocketWrench Standard Edition DetailsThe SocketWrench Standard Edition is a new, commercial release of SocketWrench. The Standard Edition is a complete rewrite of the control, making Windows Sockets programming even easier than before. Designed for the professional commercial software developer, some of the new features are:
For professional developers, the SocketWrench Standard Edition provides all of the features, documentation and technical support needed to develop complete Internet applications, without the complexities of learning the Windows Sockets API or working around the limitations of other Internet controls. We've redesigned the interface, expanded the documentation and samples and included both ActiveX and standard Windows dynamic link libraries in the same product. We've preserved the same stability, features and flexibility that developers have come to expect, and have made it even easier to use in a wider variety of progamming languages and development tools. System RequirementsOperating System: Windows XP/2000/NT/ME/98/95Processor Type: Intel Pentium (or compatible) System Memory: 32 Mb Disk Space: 15 Mb The minimum processor, memory and disk requirements are for the SocketWrench
Secure Edition only. For adequate system performance, it's recommended that Intel
Pentium class processors be used with 64 Mb of memory for 32-bit platforms. It is
recommended that Windows NT and Windows 2000 server systems use Intel Pentium II class
processors and 128 Mb of memory or more.
Although the SocketWrench Secure Edition controls and libraries do not directly use
Internet Explorer, they do use several libraries which are included with Internet Explorer.
These libraries are part of the base operating system under Windows XP, Windows 2000,
Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5 or later) and Windows ME. Because these libraries are not
part of the base operating system in Windows 95 or Windows 98, it will be required that
you have Internet Explorer 5.5 or later installed on those systems. Check out SocketWrench Secure Edition Search HALLoGRAM || Request More Information CALL TOLL FREE 1-866-340-3404 |
